Pros:
This review is full of sarcastic terms, but I'm not joking, personally Siddhart Malhotra did whatever he could have, to save the film. And that's the only good thing of this film, that he was at least the only guy serious about the film.
Cons:
Not cons, sometimes I think that how do people become so rich, that at one point, they think it's mandatory to waste some money?
The movie starts with Raghu (Siddhart Malhotra), an orphan, working as the right hand for Anna (Nasser). However his dwarf son Vishnu (Ritesh Deshmukh) is jealous of Raghu (I'm still not clear that whether it was jealousy or some kind of obsession!). Raghu loves a mute Zoya (Tara Sutaria), who came from Kashmir to Mumbai to find kids who can learn music (if the writer of the movie is reading this, then bro, believe me! Even telling the audience that Zoya came to Mumbai from Kashmir, for internet, would have been a better and a logical reason).
Vishnu kills Zoya because he is jealous of Raghu (man! this is confirmed obsession), and frames Raghu for it. Will Raghu take revenge from Vishnu? (Even your unborn child knows the answer)
The songs were the only highlight of this good for nothing film, that too with 70% remake songs. Talking about script, screenplay, editing, you will think why are these terms even there in filmmaking. This flick consists of dialogues like "NA TIPU, NA SULTAN, NA AZHAR! ALLAH KA BANDA, SALMAN BHAI KA FAN, NAAM HAI MAZHAR! " What? You think the makers don't love Hindus? Then how about this? "EK MARUNGA KANPATI PE, DARD MITEGA GANPATI PE! ". Wait! The show's not over! There are also some biodata giving dialogues like " HARAAMIPAN KI HEIGHT- 3 FOOT". Basically, this movie had all the ingredients to be the GUNDA of our decade. The problem is that our lead hero thought that be had to do good acting here.
Siddhart Malhotra was actually the only one who tried to carry the whole thing on his shoulders, however fails! He has done a good job, which sometimes makes us connect with his character!
Ritesh Deshmukh had fully prepared to get the tag of the next Bulla! Ans he even succeeds to some extent. He overacts like there's no tomorrow! Jokes apart, hugely hugely disappointed with the man who played the antagonist in Ek Villain, to come up with something like this!
Tara Sutaria has although no dialogues, expresses enough with her face. Although she goes overboard sometimes, it's a very good performance, considering this was her 2nd movie.
I think Rakul Preet Singh has taken the proverb "kaam mile toh kar lena chahiye" a bit seriously! Coz she is there only for crying and shouting. Acting is a bonus.
Ravi Kishan was there giving attendance on the sets.
Nasser has done a completely below average job, and is nowhere close to his Rowdy Rathore stint.
Shaadi Randhawa confuses us, whether we should get emotional on his scenes or go ROFL?
In simple words, Marjaavaan has everything, that a perfect entertaining movie should NOT have! Still, Siddhart Malhotra and Tara Sutaria made us feel that if there are some good performances, then even a horrible movie can be bearable to some extent!
